Back in January, my family came to the conclusion that it was time to move our 92 year old mother to an assisted living community in Tucson as we had no family members living in Las Vegas. While I live in Atlanta, I knew that I would have find an exceptional Realtor who I could work with from 2,500 miles away to get our mother’s home listed and sold quickly by just working over the phone. I searched the Las Vegas Realtors listings for someone who has sold a large number of homes in the Spring Valley area and came across Kathy Shippen with Realty ONE Group. Thanks goodness I did. I called Kathy who began reviewing my mother’s property and the recent sales around the area immediately. As a former Real Estate Appraiser, I thought I could come quite close to the value to list the house on my own but asked Kathy to give me her thoughts. She provided me with pages of comparable home sales and then suggested an asking price that was $50,000 over my estimate value. While skeptical, she was right on with her number. We listed on a Monday evening after she had her professional photographer shoot the house. Within 72 hours, we had 8 offers of which all were over our asking price! Kathy reviewed all the offers can called me with her recommendation. We closed within 4 weeks at a price $35,000 over our asking price! Amazing work! I have worked with many Realtors over the year’s but Kathy stands head and shoulders above them all. Constant, clear, decisive communication is what she delivered to me daily from 2,500 miles away.
